The Takeover

My cousin Jacob encountered these confidential documents in his room recently before he moved. We were once convinced that cows would take over the world. These sketches I drew up in junior high show the plans and the power to make them happen. Before the Wii and the XBox, there was Paint.
By the way, Ariel was part of the Women's Beef Club at East High. More evidence that we were meant to be.

Two Tooths

WHAT!? Teeth already?

That's right, Ladies and Gents. For better or for worse, Abraham has two little teeth in the front.
It was quite a chore getting the picture of even this one tooth. You'll have to take our word for it- there's an identical tooth sitting right next to this one.

Abe has been empowered by his two little razor teeth. He's no longer confined to sucking on fruits and veggies. He can now rip them to shreds in less than one minute.

Teething is a frustrating business. To help take his mind off things, Abe does some of his favorite things. He'll play a little ditty on the piano (notice his fingers and toes are equally capable).

Then he'll help Mommy brush her teeth.

And after about an hour of baby dinosaur sounds, it's off to bed.

Teething is hard work!

And... We're Back!

You may not have noticed our absence, but we've been gone.
Ariel went to Georgia for five days with Dad Galli so Abey could meet his Great Grandma Galli.

The trip went fantastically; Hammie and Gigi were fast friends. This was the first Andrew/Ariel separation since marriage, the longing amplified with the absence of Ham! They all found each other again happily, and to Andrew's dismay, Abraham grew up without him!

Just days after that trip Andrew flew to DC to learn more about the different federal agencies and nonprofits out there. He made some good connections and had a great time in that energetic, fast-paced city with some of his MPA colleagues. We hope to kick it out there for an internship next summer.

Abe eats solids.

We think he likes it--and butternut squash, no less!

Life's great!
