Hair's the Long and Short of It

As you know, Abraham has had trouble growing hair. But today, we found a cure for his follicle frustrations. Ariel donated 13 inches of her hair to Abe.

Ariel came home from the haircuttress place today, and wow! My girl is a first class knock-out! She hasn't had hair this short since the tiny age of 8.

It's true, I loved her full, flowing hair, but this will be a fun, festive change.
And she actually will donate it to someone suffering from cancer, who will undoubtedly look great with her hair. Abe will stick to his new winter jammy hat to keep his head warm.

Thanksgiving Fiestas

So, a late Thanksgiving catch-up. Thanksgiving rocked. As always. We had a delicious dinner prepared by the Galli and Thomas families. We need pictures to post of the gourmet event. We also had a terrific time with the Marshall extended family. Lots of food, ping pong, trampolineing, fooseball, and Monster Memory (a must at any Marshall event). Again, sadly we didn't take pictures. Finally, we had the Sorensen party. Below I've attached a highlight reel of the annual, all-day event. We celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas all day with hundreds of aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. Unfortunately, I was playing in the Hallelujah Chorus, so we don't have that on tape, nor do we have my dad's rendition of "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park" (I was changing tapes!) or the annual slideshow.
This party is not for the faint of heart.

Another highlight for the us over the Thanksgiving week was seeing Keenan, Nonie, and Hammie's 5-week younger cousin Sammy. They had a good time. And here's a picture of Abe, Ariel, and Andrew before trekking home after dinner and watching the Christmas devotional with Ben and Celeste today. And another one of Abe with his toast and jam. We can't get enough of him, can you blame us?

Mustache Monday

BYU's MPA program turned over a new leaf today. Straying from the norm, living on the edge, looking danger in the eye . . . we all grew mustaches.
Paul Dean and I initiated the first annual Mustache Monday today. It went over well. We had awards and pictures and prizes. We had a panel of eight gals from the MPA program who judged our staches.

I won for best color.

A good time had by all.

And here is healthy Abe with a carrot from the Galli garden.

Hopefully we'll have a Thanksgiving post up soon. It was a great week.
