Directly following the farewell, we jumped in the car and drove straight to Keenan and Nonie's house in Arcadia. Keenan and Andrew both had appointments early Monday in L.A., so we had to make tracks.
The warm weather was just the break we needed from dreary, smoggy Utah January!
While the dads were busy, Nonie and the boys and I went to the La Brea tar pits. Here Nonie and the boys are standing in front of an ancient bison.
Abraham by a giant ground sloth.
The trip was over too quickly. Before we knew it, we were driving back to St. George to spend a little time with two sets of grandparents and Rachel and Micah. Abe fell asleep reading the Good Word Simplified on the drive.
Abraham found a new bff with Grandma. Whenever he saw her, he would lead her to this chair with a book and they would read and read.
We took a really nice walk up to Johnson's Arch right outside Snow Canyon.
I can't remember the name of this place, but it was pretty awesome! Lots of great holes for Abe to hang out in. He loved it!

We had the chance to visit Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen at their home while we were down south. Abe took immediately to them and played happily there for two hours while we were at the temple.
