We Bought A House

I still can't believe we did it, but we are all so excited! We close in a month, so I guess more accurately, we put an offer on a house that was accepted.
It's in Forest Glen, MD. It's 1/2 mile from the metro, and one mile from the DC temple. It couldn't be more perfect!

The yard is what I'm most excited about!

It's an old person's house, so we've got a lot of updating ahead of us, but it was well kept for and has a lot of nice personal touches (like a bird feeder in the back).
These pictures were definitely taken with a wide-angle lens, but they give you some sense for how it looks.

How exciting! The house looks great - I love the yard too. We will have to get together sometime. Our families live in Northern VA so we are up there quite a bit. Enjoy the new house!!

We are so excited for you! That is wonderful news!! I guess this means we may never get you back to Utah...:( But we are so happy for you. We can't wait to be done with school and start looking ourselves! And by the way, the house is gorgeous!!!!

Congratulations - we can't wait to come visit and help you guys with renovations! Let the painting begin.

Hey, are you OK after the earthquake? I want to call Ariel, but wasn't sure if you'd be too busy.

Congratulations! Having a house and yard will be so nice. It's so fun to decorate, actually put nails in the wall wherever you want, and just make it your own place.

Oops! Guess it's not a cottage after all. But it is yellow with a white picket fence. Still perfect for the perfect family.
